Air Infiltration & Ventilation Centre

In recognition of the significant impact of ventilation on energy use, combined with concerns over indoor air quality, the IEA inaugurated the Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre (AIVC) in 1979. AIVC is one of the annexes running under the Energy Conservation in Buildings and Community Systems (ECBCS), an Implementing Agreement of the IEA). The AIVC offers industry and research organizations technical support aimed at optimizing ventilation technology. The AIVC offer a range of services and facilities, including comprehensive database on literature standards, and ventilation data.

While there is no formal collaboration between ETDE and AIVC at this time, much of AIVC's subject area is represented in the ETDE’s Energy Database.
